 Well, well, well - it's actually snowed in London! When we woke up this morning and peeked outside it was gloriously white. Mary Catherine woke up soon after and was thrilled when she saw it all. This will be the first snow since she was two months old, so certainly the first that she thinks she's ever seen. She wanted to go out immediately and play. We managed to hold her off until we went to get in the car.
The Atlantian in me wasn't too keen to come to work this morning. Snow where I come from means going to the grocery store, if you're brave, to stock up on toilet paper and milk. Not getting in your car, all business as usual. It looks lovely, but is certainly lacking the joy I remember when I was a child of a true 'snow day'.
Heck, I even listened to the news and looked online for school closures. Uh - yeah. Not a jot mentioned! We're supposed to get more this afternoon and I gotta tell you, this Southerner will be out th'door at the first sign of more than 100+ flakes!Labels: London, Snow
